Use Link Monitor Mode

Link Monitor Mode is used for testing/troubleshooting/pinpointing issues within the communication system. Follow the steps below to use it:

  • Press and hold the right-arrow button for 5 seconds. The display should show a number in each window. These numbers are actually the address being called upon by the central. The left number represents the group number, while the right number represents the satellite number. As the central calls different satellites, these numbers will change automatically.
  • If two different satellites on the same communication wire path are put into Link Monitor Mode at the same time, the numbers showing should always be the same between the two satellites. If only one shows the numbers changing, then there is a problem with the communication system in or near the satellite that has the display that does not change.
  • To end Link Monitor Mode, press the STOP button.
