HUNTER ISSUE:
facepack dead or no power

To power down a Hunter VSX or Hunter Genesis system, flip the "Power On" switch inside the cabinet to the "Off" position.

If the Timing Mechanism ("Facepack") in your Hunter VSX or Hunter Genesis cabinet is dead or is not receiving any power, follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Check for corrosion at the connection point between the Timing Mechanism and Power Supply.
  2. Swap the Timing Mechanism with a known operational Timing Mechanism from another satellite location (Timing Mechanism removal/installation instructions can be found HERE).
  3. If the problem goes away, the original Timing Mechanism must be sent in for reconditioning. Create a BoardTronics Shipping Label HERE.
  4. If the problem persists, swap back to the original Timing Mechanism and check the power of the Power Transformer using a multi-meter; it should be receiving approximately 110V AC and providing the Power Supply with approximately 24V AC.
  5. If the voltages are incorrect, the Power Transformer must be sent in for reconditioning. Create a BoardTronics Shipping Label HERE.
  6. If the voltages are correct, swap the Power Supply with a known operational Power Supply from another satellite location.
  7. If the problem goes away, the original Power Supply must be replaced. Brand new Power Supplies for Hunter VSX can be purchased HERE, and brand new Power Supplies for Hunter Genesis can be purchased HERE.
