IMPORTANT: Any time you install or remove components, disconnect power to the unit before you begin. "Hot Plugging" components in this manner can cause even further damage to one or more cabinet components.
If the Timing Mechanism in your Rain Bird ISC cabinet is dead or is not receiving any power, follow the steps below to troubleshoot the issue:
- Using a multi-meter, measure the power going out of the transformer and into the Timing Mechanism.
- The two blue wires (between pins 2 and 3) should read approximately 11V AC.
- The two orange wires (between pins 1 and 4) should read approximately 26V AC.
- If the voltages are correct, the issue lies with the Timing Mechanism, and it must be sent in for reconditioning. Create a BoardTronics Shipping Label HERE.
- If the voltages are incorrect, check the voltage going out of the Timing Mechanism and into the transformer. It should read approximately 110V AC.
- If this voltage is incorrect, the problem lies with the transformer, and it must be replaced.
