LTC+/LTC 2.0 ISSUE: communication problems OR no modem pulse/lights

To power down a LTC system, flip the black circuit breaker on the power supply inside the cabinet to the "Off" position.

  • Check the modem’s two fuses. Replace if available. (0.75 Amp)
  • Check the fuse connectors for corrosion.
  • Verify that the fuse connectors that hold each of the fuses are not touching. This will cause a short.
  • If data (TX,RX) light, double check that the address is correct via faceplate
  • Check for cable/connector corrosion.
  • The modem, cable, signal wires, and faceplate should swapped for testing one at a time with those from a working satellite to see if the problem follows either one of them. If the problem follows the modem or the faceplate, then the problem part should be sent for repair.

If the issue still exists, run a test of the faceplate and modem functions using the "CAL (Calibration Test)” feature of the faceplate program. Calibration instructions can be found HERE.
