LTC+ ISSUE:
faceplate dead or no power

To power down a Toro Network LTC Plus system, flip the black circuit breaker on the Power Supply inside the cabinet to the "Off" position.

If the Timing Mechanism ("Faceplate") in your Toro Network LTC Plus cabinet appears dead, or is not receiving any power, you first need to check the two LEDs on the Distribution Board. You will troubleshoot differently depending on how they are illuminated.

If both LEDs on the Distribution Board are illuminated, begin troubleshooting the issue by checking the voltages going from the Distribution Board out to the Timing Mechanism:

  1. Using a multi-meter, check for approximately 14V DC between the black and white wires, where they connect to the Distribution Board.
  2. If the voltage is incorrect, the Distribution Board must be replaced. Brand new Distribution Boards can be purchased HERE.
  3. If the voltage is correct, the Data Cable is likely malfcuntioning and must be replaced. Brand new Data Cables can be purchased HERE.

If one or both of the LEDs on the Distribution Board are not illuminated, troubleshoot the issue by following the steps below:

  1. Using a multi-meter, check for approximately 14V AC between the white and red wires, where they connect to the Distribution Board. Then, check for 24-26V AC between the green and black wires, where they connect to the Distribution Board.
  2. Check for the same voltages on the other side of the cable. So, check for approximately 14V AC between the white and red wires where they connect to the Power Supply. Then, check for 24-26V AC between the green and black wires, where they connect to the Power Supply.
  3. You now have two sets of measurements, one for the Distribution Board-end and one for the Power Supply-end.
  4. If both sets of measurements are correct, the Distribution Board must be replaced. Brand new Distribution Boards can be purchased HERE.
  5. If the voltages at the Power Supply-end are correct, but the voltages at the Distribution Board-end are not correct, then the cable must be replaced.
  6. If 14V AC is not present at the Power Supply, check the 4-amp circuit breaker. If it is not blown, but the main power switch is on and the power feeding the satellite is known to be good, then the Power Supply must be sent in for reconditioning. Create a BoardTronics Shipping Label HERE.
  7. If 24-26V AC is not present at the Power Supply, check the 3.2-amp fuse. If it is not blown, but the main power switch is on and the power feeding the satellite is known to be good, then the Power Supply must be sent in for reconditioning. Create a BoardTronics Shipping Label HERE.
