NETWORK 8000 HOW-TO: configuring faceplate address switches

To power down a Network 8000 cabinet, remove one of the two main fuses located towards the bottom inside of the cabinet.

Address numbers range from 1-255 and CSG numbers range from 1-63.

To set the address, switch the appropriate dip switches (positions 1-8) in the UP or DOWN position. DOWN represents 0 while UP represents a numeric value which is shown in the figure below. For instance, if your address number is 91, you would set 2, 4, 5, 7, and 8 to the ON position. (1+2+8+16+64=91)

The CSG is set the same way, except that only switch positions 3-8 are used (switch positions 1 and 2 should be left DOWN). For instance, if your address number is 23, you would set 4, 6, 7, and 8 to the ON position. (1+2+4+16=23)
