NETWORK 8000 HOW-TO: verifying a faceplate address

To power down a Network 8000 cabinet, remove one of the two main fuses located towards the bottom inside of the cabinet.


  • Navigate with the arrow buttons to the "CONFIG", "REVIEW" menu and then select "SAT. ADDR." to display the address settings in the right-hand display window.
  • If the address shown in the display window is incorrect, then remove the faceplate and check the settings of the address switches.
  • If the switch settings are correct, but the address that was shown in the display window is not correct then the faceplate is experiencing a failure and needs to be sent in for reconditioning. Create a UPS Shipping Label HERE.
  • If the switch settings are incorrect, make the appropriate switch changes. Click HERE for instructions.
  • Reinstall the faceplate and verify the proper address settings by navigating with the arrow buttons to the "CONFIG", "REVIEW" menu and then select "SAT. ADDR." to display the address settings in the right-hand display window.
  • If the switch settings are correct, but the address that is shown in the display window is not correct then the faceplate is experiencing a failure and needs to be sent in for reconditioning. Create a UPS Shipping Label HERE
