NETWORK 8000 ISSUE: faceplate resetting when output stations activate

To power down a Network 8000 cabinet, remove one of the two main fuses located towards the bottom inside of the cabinet.

This is usually caused by a bad power supply, but can be caused by a failing faceplate as well.

  • Check the Power Supply voltages, paying particular attention to the voltage on pin 6. Voltage testing instructions can be found HERE.
  • If the Power Supply is known to be good then try replacing the faceplate with a known good unit.
  • If the problem is still present then try replacing the harness that connects the Power Supply to the Faceplate with a known good unit.
