NETWORK VP ISSUE: faceplate dead or no power

To power down a Network VP system, flip the circuit breaker on the power supply inside the cabinet to the "Off" position.

  • Move the faceplate to a known functioning satellite. If the faceplate is still not getting any power, this points to an internal problem with the faceplate and it repaired or replaced.
  • If the faceplate is getting power in the new satellite, check the voltages in the original cabinet by following these instructions.
  • If the voltages read properly, the problem lies with either the Power Distribution Board or the 40-Pin Cable that connects the Faceplate to the Distribution Board. Move these two components, one at a time, to the new satellite to determine which component is faulty. The faulty component must be repaired or replaced.
