OSMAC HOW-TO: setting address dip switches

To power down an OSMAC system, disconnect the 12V and 26V power wires connecting the transformer to the decoder module.


Below is a brief guide on how to properly set your address dip switches on the OSMAC Decoder Module.

Address numbers range from 1-255. To set them first, set your address number by switching the dip switches (1-8) in the ON position. Off represents 0 while ON represents a numeric value which is shown in the figure below. For instance, if your address number is 91, you would set 2, 4, 5, 7, and 8 to the ON position. (1+2+8+16+64=91)
