SBM/RC ISSUE: timing mechanism dead or no station activity
IMPORTANT: Any time you install or remove components, disconnect power to the unit before you begin. "Hot Plugging" components in this manner can cause even further damage to one or more cabinet components.
Check that the timing mechanism is receiving proper power from the transformer.
You should see 26V AC between the black and orange wires, and 11V AC between the black and blue wires.
If the voltage is incorrect, troubleshoot the transformer by making sure that it is receiving proper power. (110V AC) If the transformer is receiving proper power, but is not producing the correct voltages, the transformer needs to be replaced.
If you are using a MAXI central, make sure that it is sending ~24V AC to the timing mechanism.
Check that the connection between the timing mechanism and the terminal board is good.
If the faceplate still does not work when receiving good power from the transformer, the faceplate must be sent in for reconditioning. Create a UPS Shipping Label HERE.
